Jim, I can't even remember what the finale was in season two.

Eleven, suspended in midair, looking like a young Jean Grey with her powers going nuts as she closes the portal to the upside down. Bad fucking ass.

Re: Netflix Original Series

Stranger Things season 2 culminates with one of the most jaw dropping sequences in recent memory, for me anyhow. It's Stephen King-y & Gremlins-y & you'll connect with the kids as you continue.

Me too. Next saturday right after I drop my car off for servicing in the same shopping mall. Easy way to burn 2 carless hours.

"They're still shitty."

"Fuck you, Jobu. I do it myself."

There are truly some great lines in Major League.

Re: So, What comics did you buy this week?

Doomsday Clock 10 & the hardcover Batman 80th anniversary book.

EDITED: and the Frank Miller Xerxes widevision hardcover. I'm 100 percent sure I'm the only human left supporting him at this point. Hopefully not a complete waste of $40.

Love it. Just watched a quick thing on Len Wein & GSXM1 on the Marvel site, it didn't get into Wolvie's appearance in hulk at all.

Re: What's up with the pathetic remakes of shit

I just did a rewatch. It wasn't to my liking any more, but I did really like it as a kid. I read the book (based on the movie) a few times too. I'll likely check this out.

Re: Game of Thrones (HBO)

"7 Kingdoms" is a bit of a misnomer. There are more big houses & partitions in Westeros than that- but there were 7 when Aegon I Targaryen came to power. Dragonstone, the Targaryen seat, is an island & thus not counted in the 7 for whatever reason. Until Jon breaks whatever vows he...

Re: Game of Thrones (HBO)

I dunno. He put a couple of different things in it but I'm sure one gave him more lasting pleasure than the other. Good ending. I'm happy overall. A little ham handed with Tyrion's dialogue there as he made his pitch but I can live with it. All parties at the table other than Sansa: "Aye!!!...

I don't foresee myself being able to say no to this. Look that the fucking art for crying out loud.

Re: Game of Thrones (HBO)

My biggest complaint is that people, mainly ladies, are acting in ways that don't seem to fit their established characters as the series winds down. The last episode made me sad. I can't get the ending I was hoping for, at least I don't see any way for it to resolve in that fashion. One episode to go.

My friends got me a Sega Genesis classic when I moved out to the prairies. Until this week it stayed in the box. So far I have played NHL 94 & Sonic the Hedgehog - yes, it looks better than the movie trailer.

Re: How I realized I was over Star Wars completely

It was pretty good. There is a good bit near the end that my son loved when he was little so I did watch a number of times.... back when having a bluray player was kinda special. It's been a minute or two.
