Re: Celebrity Death Pool!

David Prowse's daughter said he died from complications due to COVID-19.
Not trying to sound crass, but Darth Vader died from a respiratory illness. That's fucked up.

Re: So, What comics did you buy this week?

I recently realized I'm not buying anything Marvel on a monthly basis anymore for the first time maybe ever. Still buying and playing catch up on Batman and Detective Comics. Batman: White Knight presents Harley Quinn #1-2 - the side sequel to Batman: Curse of the White Knight. Harley is helping the...

Re: Marvel Universe

Keep an eye out for Marvel Spotlight #9, as it might be retroactively a first appearance of the symbiotes/Venom.

Um...no.
They were concerned with their potential sales, so they decided to remove them permanently.

Re: How I realized I was over Star Wars completely

I loved Solo. Unnecessary, inconsequential, but a lot of fun. I completely bought Alden Ehrenreich as a young Han. He grabbed the essence of the character without doing a bad impression. From the unconfirmed reports, the Lord & Miller version was a mess, and basically a comedy. Ehrenreich's perf...

This side quest was still entertaining.
The spider chase reminded me of the Lost in Space movie.

Re: How I realized I was over Star Wars completely

I'm sure it is exactly what you thought at the end.
It was indeed a great, fun episode.
Lots of fun callbacks without being in your face about it like TFA did.
I just how they're building to an overall arc this season rather than the weekly, thinly connected adventures.

But you've got to admit, the execution has been better than the premise.

Re: The Fate of Batman

Anyone read Three Jokers? I was really skeptical when it was announced like 25 or whatever years ago, but I ended up liking it. I won't spoil it, just in case, but the fan fiction sounding concept ended up working pretty well. I'm just curious if it's going to be accepted as canon or not. It could g...

John Carter series

Who's read 'em? Barnes & Noble has a hardcover collection of the first 5 books for only $8.00. It checks in at 960 pages and it didn't appear to be a condensed version. Are they all fairly short books? Should I add it to my massive pile of unread books? https://m.barnesandnoble.com/w/john-carter...
