Re: Football

Awwww yeah! Back in the thick of it! Bears fall to 3-3. Too much to hope the Jets could’ve sealed the deal agains the Vikes, but the Saints next week are looking to rectify that “Minnesota Miracle” bullshit from last year that cost them the Super Bowl. And Green Bay is going against the undefeated R...

Re: So I finally got a PS3

Yeahhhh, I don’t pay for DLC.
One of the newspapers(which are collectibles in the game) at the end mentions Hammerhead, so it’s possible he’ll figure into one of the add-on stories.

Re: So I finally got a PS3

Finished Spider-Man last night. It was a really well done story. I didn’t realize Slott and Gage wrote it until I saw their names in the credits. Set up a sequel with a lot of different potential story arcs. I have like 3 more suits to unlock, but other than that all the side quests are done also. T...

Re: Football

As far as the NFC North goes, the ‘phins win was a pleasant surprise considering how dominant the Bears looked the previous week. Imagine if that had ended in a tie also. I guess it was too much to hope the Cards could keep up with Minnesota. And I wouldn’t expect even Jimmy G to be able to beat Rod...

Re: Football

That Bears game was great. Back and forth, back and forth.
Who knew Brock Osweiler had it in him?

I predict the Rams will have someone (Goff, Gurley, etc) get injured and severely hamper their season.

Re: MCU Topic

Defenders, in my head, is reserved for a Dr Strange/Hulk/Namor/Silver Surfer team up film.

Don’t like that they co-opted the name for their street level team because it wasn’t being “used” at the time.

Re: MCU Topic

I can see them doing a Marvel Knights type show that integrates all, or most, of the characters.

It’s getting hard to sustain entire seasons of these characters. I had trouble getting thru Jessica Jones season 2. And I haven’t even started Cage 2 or Iron Fist 2.

Re: What's up with the pathetic remakes of shit

If the teenager from the original Halloween is now a senior citizen, doesn’t that mean Michael Myers is like a 80 year old serial killer?
Just push that fucker down some stairs and break his hip. Boom. Done.

Re: MCU Topic

I went into Venom with zero expectations. I walked out entertained. It’s not a great movie, but it was a decent movie. It’s better than the trailer made it out to be. But, to be fair, they left like 98% of the actual Venom footage out of the trailers and there were some pretty fun fight scenes. It’s...

Re: Football

Obviously I’m glad he left 13 points off the board with his missed FGs, but damn I was feeling bad for GB kicker Mason Crosby having a completely shitty day yesterday. That hurt to watch. Poor guy. Lions are right back in the thick of it! We are only half a game back from being tied for last place i...

Re: Big score........

Another dealer show! Filled up a long box with 341 books for $110 and found another 20 for $20 at a second table. Here’s what I got. Archer+Armstrong 7, 14. From the ‘13 series. Only 3 more to find. But I haven’t been keeping up with Valiant’s relaunch so I don’t know if this got relaunched again. A...

I remember him as Hale Chidduck from The Way of the Gun. Totally underrated badass crime thriller.

Re: So, What comics did you buy this week?

Should I put Superior Octopus in the ‘S’s under Superior Or The ‘O’s under Octopus Or In the Spider-Man stuff as he’s getting his own ongoing Superior Spider-Man and this is essentially a Spidey miniseries. I generally ignore adjectives on books, ‘Amazing’ being the exception. ______________________...

Havent seen Surfer yet. I don’t check Walgreens that often. But also I don’t think they’ll sell out if they get any in.
