Re: X-Men, X-Men Origins, Wolverine, etc.

Just watched it. It was decent. Right in the middle of the pack as far as X-Men movies go. Not top Five, but not bottom Five either.
The third act train fight was pretty badass. Nightcrawler done got pissed y’all.

It’s good.

Re: Big score........

Boom does or did or still does have the Disney license and publishes like Uncle Scrooge, Chip and Dale, Mickey Mouse etc. That’s probs what you thinking of. Because the timing was 1. purchase publishing comics giant(Marvel) 2. Get back biggest licensed IP (Star Wars)from Dark Horse and return it to ...

Re: So, What comics did you buy this week?

All New Wolverine 21-35. Finished the series. 21 was the final issue of a 3 issue arc where an alien girl crash lands on Roosevelt Island and infects everybody with an alien virus. The only cure is Laura’s healing factor. With the help of other “healers”(Daken, Old Man Logan, Deadpool, etc) they cur...

Re: I dreamed about jjreason last night

I forgot to post this when I had it a few weeks ago. I had a dream about a Power Pack trailer. There was no dialogue in the entire trailer. For some reason every shot was at night, I can’t recall a single image that was lit with “daylight”. There was a shot of two Snarks coming out of tall grass(thi...

Re: Big score........

First off, sad news. One of the LCS across the river went out of business last week. It’s the first place I went every year for FCBD. They had a going out of business sale with HUGE discounts on everything last Saturday...AND I MISSED IT COMPLETELY. So that is doubly sad. Second, dealer show today. ...

Re: X-Men, X-Men Origins, Wolverine, etc.

After the Disney/Fox merger and the prospect of getting “true and proper” X-Men in the MCU, did people just collectively decide this “unofficial” Beta version of the X-Men film franchise was no longer worthy? I know the marketing and word of mouth and quality of the actual movie are all factors, but...

Re: What have you watched lately?

Major League on Hulu. I was bored. So what exactly type of movie is this supposed to be? Was it promoted as a comedy? Romantic comedy? Sports comedy? Did this movie do well in 1989? Why did it warrant a sequel? The only time I laughed was when Charlie Sheen said “I look like a Banker.” and some of B...

Back with more Venom. Up next is Mike Costa and Sandoval’s 2017 ongoing. Venom 1-6. The symbiote is back on Earth, but not attached to Flash. What happened is a mystery. It hooks up with low level crime thug and former Army Ranger Lee Price, who decides to use the symbiote to climb the crime ranks o...

Spent $93 on comics today. Several $5, $6, and even a $10 comics in the pile did not help things.

Y’all can definitely wait to watch it on Disney+(and don’t pretend like none a ya aint getting that shit for all the Star Wars/Marvel content gonna be on there) in a few months.
Smith was definitely in Fresh Prince/ID4/Bad Boys/MIB mode playing the Genie if that helps.

Re: Top Summer Film of 2019

I've only just recently seen John Wick - I'll put a rush on seeing part 2 since I thought it was pretty cool, almost in the Matrix family of cool. Hopefully part 2 isn't a letdown. I love the John Wick movies - pure, unapologetic action. Chapter 2 is more of the same, but with some nice world expan...

Hmmm...sorting recent purchases today and noticed the War of the Realms:Uncanny X-Men tie-in mini series has the Legacy numbering on it, much like the Avengers:No Road Home series did for Avengers. So I went and checked to see where the mini fits into the regular series and it’s “sharing” legacy num...
